Fantastic book by the best。 I suspect that is the reason the book has been in publication for 63 years。Highly recommend it。

Great book!Ben Hogan has great passion matched with great literary skill to break down the golf swing into easy to understand sections。 This book has helped me a great deal already。 As one who has struggled with tempo for several years, I found it。remarkable to know that tempo is automatic if the grip, stance, and backswing are executed properly。 A joy to read。 I'm certain to refer to it often over the seasons to come。 Great book!Ben Hogan has great passion matched with great literary skill to break down the golf swing into easy to understand sections。 This book has helped me a great deal already。 As one who has struggled with tempo for several years, I found it。remarkable to know that tempo is automatic if the grip, stance, and backswing are executed properly。 A joy to read。 I'm certain to refer to it often over the seasons to come。 。。。more

The first time I read books to learn how to do a sport。 Very detailed explanation that help me to imagine theoretically and implement it in real life golf practice。 Back swing sequence: hand - arms - shoulders - hips。Down swing sequence: hips - shoulders - hands - arms。

Great tips in this book。 I really like how it details how to adjust your grip if your slicing or hooking。 Will be a book I revisit whenever my swing falls off again

Isaac Pritchett

Explains Golf technique and mechanical skills concisely, and is great。 Good illustrations and clear step-by-step instruction。

Craig LeVasseur

Beautiful illustrations。 Rock solid fundamentals, even some stuff that I've taken for granted as always doing right。 We'll see if the lessons learned pay off this spring, but still worth the read regardless。 Beautiful illustrations。 Rock solid fundamentals, even some stuff that I've taken for granted as always doing right。 We'll see if the lessons learned pay off this spring, but still worth the read regardless。 。。。more

If all the videos, books, techniques。。。this book is refreshingly low-tech and easy to understand。 Recommended to me by someone else picking up golf later in life。

If there was/is anyone who has the eye and the wherewithal to list, breakdown, and discuss the fundamentals of golf, it has to be Hogan。 This book lays out five fundamentals, specifically explained。 The book requires multiple readings for anyone who desires to practice what he preaches because it is so detailed。 One major plus is the diagrams which are artfully done and support the technicalities。

Brad

An absolute masterpiece。

Jay

Best book on Golf Ever Absolutely loved it。 Just an amazing book。 So clear and concise。 Learned more from this book then watching 100 YouTube videos。

Joseph

Simple set of swing thoughts to ingrain in one’s game to achieve more consistency。 A couple require a paradigm shift that may take a while to incorporate as old habits are lost and new one’s are created。 A short and easy read that is wondrous in it’s simplicity and perhaps a little counter-intuitive in today’s grip-it-and-rip-it game。

Cosmin Patlageanu

A classic。

Paul Ballinger

I bought this on a whim as I was somewhat intrigued by Ben Hogan’s self learning all those decades ago。 Imagine my happy surprise to find out, after playing golf for 40 plus years, there are fundamental aspects of the golf swing I’d not encountered before。 Equally surprising, my golf striking improved almost immediately, at least a bit, and I’ve confidence in the improvement continuing。 The writing is concise and clear。 Love the Five Lessons 。。。 I’ve recommended it to several friends。

Patrick Morris

Classic Fundamentals of golf setup backswing and downswing comprehensively covered here by a legend of the game。 Never gets old great revision if your swing is out of kilter

Freddie Lynn Jr。

Great lesson on fundamentals This book really helped me get back to basic fundamentals of the swing and greatly improved my ability to hit the ball straight。 Good foundation。

Alexander Max

As a golf instruction book, I thought this was exactly what I needed。 Concrete strategies for the grip, backswing, downswing and follow-through。 Very simple read, would recommend to any golfer。

Pam

I will read and reread this book again。 Some very basic steps to follow that really haven’t changed over time。 The plane is important and left wrist supination worth practicing。 Until next time。。。。
